The game’s story kicks off with a bang. Tomorrow, the Princess is supposed to be sacrificed to the mysterious Endless King. It’s all part of a deal to keep her kingdom safe for another decade. She’s pretty much accepted her fate, but then things take an interesting turn. Her buddy, the playful Jester, comes up with this wild idea: Run away with me. It’s all about choices, will she stick with her duty or take a leap into the unknown?
The world feels like a dream mixed with a touch of darkness. The imagery is super vivid, with rich details that pull you right into this tale of sacrifice versus escape. You can almost feel the tension between tradition and rebellion as you follow the Princess through her journey.
In the demo, you get to explore one main route called the sacrifice route, which has two different endings. This gives you around 40-55 minutes of playtime filled with intriguing choices that affect how everything wraps up. Developed by a team including DeadFish for art and writing, along with several composers from Dova-Syndrome, this indie project shows just how passionate they are about creating something unique. Though relatively new in terms of games released, like their previous work The plush of my favorite villain came to life, it’s clear they’ve got talent for storytelling with heart.
