Whose Hand Should You Take in Twisted Wonderland

In Disney Twisted Wonderland, the moment you’re asked to “Take Their Hand” feels like a big deal, and it kind of is, but mostly in a personal way. It’s your first real glimpse into the game’s beautifully stylized world, and while the choice looks important, it doesn’t actually affect the main story or how things play out later. Think of it more as a chance to pick your first favorite, someone whose vibe speaks to you.

Understanding the “Take Their Hand” Choice

When you first start the game, you’ll see seven mysterious, shadowy figures, each one tied to a different dorm at Night Raven College. You get to pick one, and doing so gives you their Ceremonial Robes SR card to start your deck. Don’t stress too much over the choice though, it’s mostly for style and doesn’t change the story or how the game plays. Just go with the one that catches your eye or feels right.

Dormitories and Their Inspirations

Each dorm in Twisted-Wonderland is inspired by a classic Disney villain, and that influence really shapes its whole vibe. Whether it’s the rules-obsessed world of Heartslabyul or the eerie charm of Diasomnia, each one has its own distinct feel and personality, it’s part of what makes the game so fun to explore.

  • Heartslabyul has that strict, rule-heavy energy, just like the Queen of Hearts from Alice in Wonderland. Riddle Rosehearts really embodies that “off with their heads” attitude.
  • Savanaclaw gives off major Lion King vibes: fierce, competitive, and a little wild, kind of like Scar himself. Leona Kingscholar fits right in as the powerful (and very lazy) leader.
  • Octavinelle is all about deals, charm, and hidden motives, just like Ursula from The Little Mermaid. Azul Ashengrotto runs the show with a business-savvy (and slightly shady) flair.
  • Scarabia has that rich, exotic, and slightly dangerous feel of Aladdin‘s Jafar. Kalim’s sunshiney personality and Jamil’s calculated calm make an interesting duo.
  • Pomefiore is elegance and beauty with a sharp edge, totally channeling the Evil Queen from Snow White. Vil Schoenheit sets the bar high, both in looks and expectations.
  • Ignihyde feels like the loner corner of the school, full of tech and shadows—very Hades from Hercules. Idia Shroud keeps to himself, but there’s a lot going on behind that screen.
  • Diasomnia is pure magic and mystery, inspired by Sleeping Beauty’s Maleficent. Malleus Draconia has this powerful, regal aura that makes the dorm feel both intimidating and enchanting.

Choosing a dorm is really about what speaks to you personally, whether you’re drawn to strong leaders, love a certain aesthetic, or just find a group’s story especially intriguing. There’s no right or wrong choice here, it’s more about who you vibe with and whose world you want to step into first.

Strategic Considerations for Beginners

While your first choice doesn’t affect the actual gameplay in a big way, if you’re thinking a little more strategically, or just want a smoother start, it’s worth keeping a few things in mind:

  • Rerolling for SSR Cards: After the tutorial, players receive a 10-pull summon opportunity. Rerolling this summon can yield powerful SSR cards. Notably, Riddle’s and Leona’s Dorm Uniform SSR cards are recommended for their strong damage output.
  • Character Abilities: Familiarizing oneself with character abilities and their synergy can enhance team performance in battles.

Final Thoughts

The “Take Their Hand” moment in Twisted Wonderland is such a fun way to kick things off. It’s your first real peek into the game’s unique cast and the dorms they represent. Sure, it doesn’t change the gameplay, but it’s still a great chance to pick someone who catches your eye or feels like a good match. So go with your gut, dive into the stories, and enjoy everything this magical, slightly chaotic world has to offer.
